LA PESCADORA preserves are located in Bermeo, in the Coast of the Bay of Biscay (Spain). We have been more than 120 years dedicated to the art of the production of canned fish. Our preserves have an exceptional quality and they are elaborated by only using the finest raw materials, fresh fish of the finest quality and specially selected. The handmade preparation of the preserves, transmitted and improved over five generations, is one of the keys of our success. Our Know-How, coupled with the strict quality control system, enables us to meet the requirements of the cross-border and national markets.
We are certified with the MSC Certificate “Marine Stewardship Council”, and we have a range of products identified by means of the blue MSC eco-label. This eco- label ensures that this Albacore Tuna comes from certified sustainable fisheries; this means that it uses the best practices that help protect and preserve the oceans for future generations.
First we select the best fishes, then we cooked them and, following a meticulous and handmade process, the “MSC” Albacore Tuna is prepared and packaged. The skill and experience acquired over five generations is the key of the exceptional taste and appearance of our preserves.
The process is the same as in the traditional canned in oil; the only difference is that in the last moment, we only add water and salt, and not oil, to the Albacore Tuna loins.
The Albacore Tuna loins in brine is a complete food, rich in protein, vitamins and minerals, with a high content of Omega 3 and with a low caloric value. Ideal for those who want to take care of the diet!
